Messmer Foundation Research Award 2024
James Wilson will receive the Messmer Foundation Research Award for his research project "Translating the Crusades: Historical Legacies of the Orientalist Translation Movement". The prize will be awarded on the occasion of the University of Konstanz's Dies academicus ceremony which starts on 4 July 2024 at 2 pm (lecture hall R 711).

Elite Progromme for Postdocs of Baden Wuerttemberg Foundation
Jovo Miladinović was accepted into the elite programme 2023 of the Baden Wuerttemberg Foundation receiving scholarship for his postdoc project Between the Sea, Coast and Hinterland: Territorializing the southern Adriatic (1718 -1856).
Dissertation Prizes
Jovo Miladinović has received two prizes so far for his dissertation with the title Heroes, Traitors, and Survivors in the Borderlands of Empires: Military Mobilizations and Local Communities in the Sandžak (1900s-1920s), completed at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2021:
In September 2023 he was awarded in Vienna the prize for his outstanding dissertation in the fields Turkology, Ottoman Studies and research on Turkey by the Society of Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies (GTOT):
